This stunning design features a pre-made focal pendant of GemDuo and SuperDuo beads centered on the braided cord section of this necklace. The braid is the traditional 8-cord spiral (kongo gumi) with TOHO® size 8 seed beads and 6mm bicones centered on either side of the pendant. The focal pendant is added midway through the braiding, then the necklace is finished off with chain and a toggle closure.

Prerequisites
Students should be familiar with the basics of braiding the 8-cord spiral (kongo gumi) braid with seed beads as well as finishing off braid ends and adding chain and closures. Those who attended the Demi Demo Kumihimo Bracelet class will be well prepared for this session.

MATERIALS USED FOR NECKLACE:
4 60" lengths of Superlon Tex #210 cord; 220 8° TOHO® seed beads Color A (5gr); 240 8° TOHO® seed beads Color B (6 gr); 2 glue-in bullet endcaps (6mm ID); 20 6mm Preciosa® bicones; 12" chain of choice; 4 6mm round jump rings; 1 toggle clasp; 1 premade focal pendant.
