"Wrap & Turn" is not a dance move, it's a fabulous way to create shapes with your knitting. Short rows are used in some sock heels, in shawls to create curves and in garments for bust shaping. In this class we'll discuss five common methods of working short rows (and hiding them, just as important!): wrap and turn, yarnover, Japanese, German, and Shadow. We’ll also touch on how to change one method for another in a pattern.
Important Workshop Details:
Scrap light-colored medium-weight yarn and 4-5mm/US #6-8 needles, 8 removable stitch markers or small safety pins
We love independent yarn stores & hope you will support yours. However, if you do not have convenient access to a local yarn store or time to get there before your class, Interweave is proud to recommend Knit Picks as a reliable source for high-quality yarn and tools at a good price.
