Requirements: Knitters must know how to work basic two-color brioche in the round. Students who have taken my Intro to Brioche class will be well-prepared for this class.

120 yards each of a dark-colored and a light-colored worsted-weight yarn, 16" circular needle in the size you usually use for worsted weight yarn, 2 locking stitch markers, homework swatch OR project from Intro to Brioche class.

This swatch will create a headband you'll work on in class. Alternatively, if you have just taken the Intro to Brioche class, you can use the project from that class to learn on in this one.
Using your darker color (DC), cast on 60 stitches and join to work in the round.
With DC, knit one round.
With DC, work next round *K1, P1*, repeat to end of round.
Join lighter yarn (LC) and work the following rounds:
Brioche Setup Round 1: With LC, *K1, Sl1YO*; repeat to end of round.
Brioche Round 2: With DC, * Sl1YO, BRP *; repeat to end of round.
Brioche Round 3: With LC, *K1, Sl1YO*; repeat to end of round.
Brioche Round 4: With DC, *Sl1YO, BRP*; repeat to end of round.
Work Brioche Rounds 3 and 4 once more.
